Carolyn Taylor was arrested Sunday and arraigned Monday after surveillance video shows her giving shoplifting instructions to her 11-year-old son.

Taylor, of the Bronx, was caught on surveillance tape at the Gap on Manhattan’s Upper West Side.

The 35-year-old woman has been charged with shoplifting and pickpocketing after showing her son how to steal a purse from an unattended stroller. She is also charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

Talyor’s son’s arrest will be handled in Family Court.

According to police, Taylor stole a credit card from the purse and then used it for purchases. She has also been accused to stealing repeatedly from a nearby pharmacy. NY1
