Bronx clergy members have recently launched a program to work with ex-prisoners to prevent relapses into crime, reports the New York Daily News.
The program is hailed as the first of its kind in the Bronx, and will teach clergy members how to counsel both ex-prisoners and current inmates to find jobs and re-integrate into communities.
The Clergy Legislative Roundtable, as they are called, wants to work to improve the 87% recidivism rate in the Bronx.
