Police are looking for the gunman in two shootings last night believed to be related. A would-be mugger shot a young child in the chest on Grand Avenue at around 10:30pm. Soon after, a teenager was found shot in the head. Both shootings were in Fordham, CBS reported. The victims are in critical condition.

A 71-year-old man perished in a fire on Bronxwood Avenue late last night, the NY Daily News reported. Two other victims of the fire were taken to Jacobi Medical Center and Montefiori Hospital and treated for wounds.

A 30-year-old man stole an ambulance parked outside Mount Sinai Hospital early yesterday, the NY Daily News reported. Police said the man was under the influence of drugs and drove the ambulance for about half an hour before they caught up with him.

Bronx resident Karriem Barrow has been found guilty in federal court of robbing banks and restaurants in the Bronx, and in Westchester and Putnam counties last year. Barrow was convicted on multiple counts of conspiracy and robbery, and faces a potential life sentence, the Tarrytown-SleepHollow Patch reports.

A police officer heard on a wiretap asking a colleague to fix summonses is suing the city after his partner allegedly hit him with their patrol car. Salvador Duran said his partner Eddy Calderon struck him with their car and dragged him several feet as he ran after a suspect. Duran missed a month of work while recovering, the NY Daily News reported.
