Police seek help identifying a man responsible for a spate of incidents, including two shootings last week in the 44th precinct of Highbridge, according to the  New York Police Department. At 4:10 am Sunday Oct. 30, the suspect fired two rounds into the air outside 145 E. 149 St. He then walked down the street and fired one round into the Newsroom Bar; no one was hit. He walked north on Walton Avenue and shot his first victim in the leg. He then walked to the McDonald’s on Grand Concourse, threatened a worker with a gun and stole food from the counter. Afterward he went to the Nuestro Bar on Mount Eden Parkway, got into an argument with the bouncer and shot him in the arm. Both victims are in stable condition, the first at Lincoln Hospital, the second at St. Barnabas.  Police are looking for the suspect, a heavyset,  light-skinned black man in his 30s,  5’8″ to 5’10″ tall, and are asking those with tips to call NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.

It’s been home to Robert Brant and his family for eight years, but now the two-bedroom, two-bath in the Bronx is up for sale, and it’s getting attention.

The Bronx homeowner, who is trying to sell his property, has fallen victim into an Internet scam posting rental properties online, CBS NY reported.

The Better Business Bureau warned both homeowners and would-be renters to be cautious of online advertising promoting house rentals.

In a victory for a handicap man from the Bronx, a New York judge cited Co-op City for discriminating against wheelchair-bound residents, NY Daily News reported Thursday.

For the second time in less than a year, John Rose prevailed against the management of the sprawling building complex in North Bronx.

State Supreme Court Justice Mary Ann Brigantti-Hughes upheld a November ruling by the New York City Commission on Human Rights.

Riverbay argued it obeyed federal law when it made the side doors of Rose’s building accessible. But Brigantti-Hughes sided with the commission, finding that Riverbay failed to offer Rose an “unsegregated accommodation,” as required by city law.

Wednesday morning 62-year old police officer Robert McGee touched the third rail of an elevated train track in the Bronx in a suicide attempt. Officer McGee is one of the more than a dozen Bronx cops charged with helping their friends and family avoid paying traffic tickets. The New York Times quotes the president of the Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association, Patrick J. Lynch, saying that it was “no surprise that New York City police officers have reached a breaking point,” as the investigation had dragged on for months.

FDNY Captain Tom Yuneman spent the anniversary of 9/11 helping to relocate flood victims in Binghamton. The Daily News reports that Yuneman helped a 93-year old man whose home was destroyed find his wife. September 11 was their 64^th wedding anniversary. ”It made my day,” Yuneman said by phone on Monday. “Of all the days thatI could make him feel better. . . .”

The Daily News reports that Surrogate Judge Holzman allowed his lawyer friend, Michael Lippman, charge fees for work he didn’t do on the estates of deceased Bronx residents. The State Commission on Judicial Conduct recommends disciplinary action against Holzman.

Tim Hetherington, photojournalist, was killed while reporting in Libya last April. He dreamed of opening a film and photography gallery space in the Bronx. Soon, reports The Daily News, his dream will be realized. Fellow photojournalist Mike Kamber plans to open the doors to the gallery in tribute to his heroic friend.
