Ophadell Williams, the driver behind the wheel of the tour bus that crashed killing 15 people in the Bronx, spoke out for the first time Monday.
Outside his house, he told reporters “I’m having a difficult time breathing “and “I’m really hurt by the whole situation.”
The World Wide Tour bus was returning to Chinatown after a trip to a Connecticut casino via the Bronx when it turned on its side and slammed into a highway sign post with such fury it ripped open the the bus’s roof. 18 passengers sustained injuries.
According to his attorney, Williams has had difficulty sleeping. He stated his client did try to help passengers out of the wreckage. NBC New York
