Jurors deadlocked on all counts of North Bronx councilman’s corruption trial — The New York Times

On Friday, jurors in the trial of a city councilman accused of obtaining money through illegal schemes and providing most of it to family and friends could not decide on his first count. Today, they told the judge they could not reach a conclusion on the other 11 counts either, as The New York Times reported.

The jury effectively delayed the judgment of Councilman Larry B. Seabrook through their indecision. On Friday, Seabrook told the press that he felt optimistic after the initial impasse. His trial continues in the Federal District Court in Manhattan.
