A pit bull that attacked a 70-year-old woman in Baychester on Tuesday escaped and has yet to be found, DNAinfo reports.

The dog, described as an adult male with gray fur, fled after the attack. The woman who was attacked is in serious but stable condition at Jacobi Medical Center.

Residents are worried that the dog may attack again while it’s on the loose.
