"We are salsa...we are mambo...we are hip hop," recited Bronx rapper and poet La Bruja to an overflowing crowd of residents, tourists, and participants.

During the trail, audience members danced with performers and recreated scenes from the South Bronx that took place between 1945 and 1970.

"Today we celebrate you, the community of the South Bronx," multi-Grammy nominee and musical director of Paseo Bobby Sanabria said.
