Police found Parkchester woman stabbed to death at home, Sept. 5

Police confirmed Natasha Roberts, 46, died yesterday from stab wounds to the torso in what police believe was a domestic homicide, according to a police inspector at the 43rd precinct.

Police responded to a 911 call at 3 a.m., September 5, to 1579 Metropolitan Avenue in the 43rd precinct, the victim’s residence.

Her husband, 52, was also found at the scene with stab wounds to the head and torso. The injured were taken to Jacoby hospital, where Roberts later died from her injuries.

Two knives were recovered at the scene. The husband is in police custody pending charges. Police investigations are ongoing.

Later that day on September 5, Deputy Inspector Benjamin D. Gurley, Commanding Officer at the 43rd precinct told residents at the Soundview Community Council that the precinct is struggling with homicides. “We had a murder today, this morning in Parkchester,” he said. “The murder was domestic. It was a husband and wife. And it was by a stabbing.” He added that domestic violence is the main issue facing police.
