A 71-year-old man perished in a fire on Bronxwood Avenue late last night, the NY Daily News reported. Two other victims of the fire were taken to Jacobi Medical Center and Montefiori Hospital and treated for wounds.

Bronx man takes ambulance for a ride, NY Daily News

A 30-year-old man stole an ambulance parked outside Mount Sinai Hospital early yesterday, the NY Daily News reported. Police said the man was under the influence of drugs and drove the ambulance for about half an hour before they caught up with him.

Man shot to death in 52nd precinct, NYPD

Police found a man shot in the chest near Bainbridge Avenue yesterday. Medical responders took him to St. Barnabas Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival, according to the New York Police Department. No arrests have been made at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
